Little Faith Is Still Faith!

As believers, the bible instructs us to have faith. But what is faith?

According to Hebrews 11:1, faith “is substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”

Therefore, it’s key that we understand that it’s not all things must be seen for us to believe that they’re coming our way.

In this current society, we are conditioned to believe things until we see them. However, as followers of Christ we are not meant to think like unbelievers do, but how God see us.

2 Corinthians 5:7 says “For we walk by faith, not by sight”

Walking by faith consists of you trusting and following the plans He has for you. To stand up in the midst of trouble, but remain faithful because you have God by your side.

Walking by faith is letting Him take the wheel of your life.

So, my question this week is, what areas of your life are you lacking faith in? If you do, what are you going to do about it?

There’s certain situations in life that can cause us to lose or have no faith towards things. However, imagine if God was to give you everything you desired without faith. What would be the point of having it in the first place?

Regardless, if you’re having faith to get a job that you have been applying for a long period of time, to receiving money in the post, having mustard seed faith can do wonders in your life.

To say that faith will remove you from certain situations at all times, would not be true. An example is when Daniel was in the lion’s den, it was faith that sustained him whilst being there so he wouldn’t be hurt. On the other hand, he still found himself inside.

Faith is “So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20

This verse was Jesus addressing his disciples as they failed to cast the demons out and heal the sick. Having faith of a size of a mustard seed can move mountains and itself shows how little our faith is. We are greater than any mountain head of us. This shows that having little faith can helps us achieve great things, so having greater faith results greater things. Mountain of depression, educational problems etc! Jesus already has done it all and all we have to do is have faith in what He has done. Romans 10:17 says that “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”.

As a result, the more you read and meditate on the word, the more your faith will increase.

We can have faith that things will come to fruition and they don’t happen. Let’s not forget that God’s will is always done. So, His timing along with not receiving a confirmation regarding the issue, it’s His respond to you. Don’t get discouraged, if things didn’t work out the way you thought. His will is better than the things we have planned for ourselves.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” — Hebrews 11:6

Challenge: To anyone reading this post, I challenge you to pray to God regarding a issue and have faith that it will come to reality.

Father God, I pray and thank everyone that is reading this right now. I pray that the spirit of faith that dwells will take us to new highs from now on IJN. I pray for a new desire to read the word, so they can realise who you are and see an increase in their faith. May you guide their steps, so your will can be done.
